Re: Laredo Petroleum (LPI) Update - June 3

Good advice and I am selling it all. I also note LPI is to be added to the Russell 2000, 1.77 million shares to be bought on an average daily trading volume of 555k/days. There was a huge block at the close on 6/18 at $65 which really catapulted the stock starting this run. I own ESTE and that is a ...

Re: Laredo Petroleum (LPI) Update - June 3

Looks to me like LPI is in the midst of a short squeeze. The stock is up again another 10%+. 4 days ago it closed at $62.06. Right now it is at $85.90 and has blown through all the price targets that I see on it. Shares short as a % of float is just under 10%. I am selling LPI now, who knows when th...

Re: Lonestar Boosts Proved Reserves to Over 100 Million BOE

Well, there is one massive problem in the quarter. Capital expenditures were apparently way way out of control. The company had guided to $15-$18 mill in Q4 D&C. looks like cap-ex was roughly $56 million in the qtr, a horrific overspend and that is the reason why it is down so much. Frank better...

Re: Lonestar Update - May 13

Lonestar (LONE) has officially hit, imo, irrational levels at At $2.55. LONE is trading at under 1.0x Q1A annualized cash flow per share. Using EPG's numbers for 2019E, trading at 0.72x cash flow/share. LONE did announce modestly disappointing Q1 results as it suffered from an unusual number of unan...

Re: Gastar

The Global Undervalued Fund just filed an amended 13D (not G mind you) with 9.2% of GST common as well as $25 million in bonds. Been buying recently paid as high as $1.78. The principal behind the Fund is John Kleinheinz out of Fort Worth who was also some of the money behind Husky Ventures. He know...

Devon to Buy Felix:Implied GST Value $10/sh

Rumor that Devon will announce buying private company Felix for $20-$22k/undeveloped acre. GST acreage not as pressured as is Felix's acreage but it is more oilier. GST has 86k acres in the Stack, do the math, the numbers are scary big relative to the current stock price. This is why GST is currentl...
