EQT interested in acquiring CVX Appalachia assets
Per press reports last week, EQT has offered $750mn for Chevron Corp’s (CVX) assets in the Northeast, which includes 800,000 acres and CVX’s non-operating interest (31%) in Laurel Mountain Midstream. We note, WMB operates and owns the remaining 69% interest in Laurel Mountain Midstream. We look for further updates regarding the potential acquisition and if there is any read through for ETRN given its relationship with EQT.
