Texans

Post by dan_s »

The Texans have Top 5 players and a Bottom 5 coach. With 37 seconds they take a 1 point lead on a great pass play, thanks to a GREAT quarterback. However, Bill O’Brien and defensive coordinator Romeo Crennel show once again that they CANNOT MANAGE A CLOSE GAME.
> Mistake 1 was kicking off into the end zone after they took the lead. Every second counts and a shorter kickoff that runs off time is the right move.
> Mistake 2 (the Big One) was playing a prevent defense that allowed Drew Brees to easily move his team into field goal range. Doing this against a top quarterback like Brees is a sure way to loose the game.
> BTW on the pass play that set up the winning field goal would have won the game for the Texans if the defensive back would not have run up and touched the receiver. The clock would have run out.

Good news is that Texans have an exciting team and should win the South Division.
