BP Relief Well

Recognizing all of us are very interested in the "relief" well being drilled to intersect the BP well that blew out, I think you will appreciate the video provided to me by a close friend of mine which explains how this intersection process is focused and accomplished.........!

Here is a little explanation for all of you that are wondering what a “relief” well is and how do you drill into a 8" diameter well bore over 15,000 feet below the ocean floor in 5,000 ft of water (this is ~3.8 miles deep). Hopefully this will help the people without drilling experience understand a little better. The retired ARAMCO Engineer doing the drilling is 40 for 40 on hitting remote piping. Let's hope he goes 41 for 41. Amazing technology. This is also for the ones of you who understand what's going on, but would like to see BP’s plan.
