Susan & I live in a two story house with two AC units. Each summer at least one of them goes out for a weird reason (i.e. - failed circuit board, squirrels ate a hole in the freon line, etc.). About a month ago the downstairs unit went out and now the upstairs unit is out.

It is "always something" with home maintenance.

I do thank God daily for AC. Can't imagine living in Houston without it.

Our 2017 EPG Cruise was out of San Juan. They were without electricity for over three months. Lucky for us, city's power was restored about a week before we arrived.

Glad I live in an apartment, where the landlord takes care of such things.

We've talked about moving up to Dallas to be closer to our only U.S. based grand daughter, but we've decided to stay in Sugar Land at least until we are 70. We love our neighborhood, but the constantly increasing homeowner's insurance, property taxes and maintenance is making apartment living more attractive to me. Our oldest son lives north of Dallas in an area known at "The Colony". There are many very nice apartment complexes near his home.
