VNR last 9 minutes of market went crazy

up 1.22 during this time to close up 76c. anyone have a clue? I didn't see any news.
must have been some options play since they expired today?

trading continues after hrs--it went up another 7c.
volume jumped to a whopping. over 2m shs in that short period.
