North European Oil Royalty Trust (NRT)
It is time to revisit NRT, a micro-cap that I introduced to fellow members about 3 years ago, as it is a perfect fit opportunity, if you agree with Dan's natgas thesis (I do) to play out in the next couple of years. NRT is a micro, micro company. You can count the number of full-time employees on on...

Seems like this would negatively impact producers; especially Marathon. After all, where is the oil supposed to go as refineries are already producing at max speed.

You are expecting ipoof to be a possible double from here. Many in the high growth portfolio have much lower % expectations for growth. Why then, just because they currently have a decent div, are you moving the company(s) to the yield portfolio? In a similar vein, could you give a little more cover...

It is hard to complain when someone plays by the rules. Were we in his place, or Buffet's, et al, we would do the same thing. It is irksome, but it does not make them untrustworthy.

My understanding is that Manchin has been afraid that if he switched parties he would be challenged in a Repub primary, and lose. He is probably right. Why would Repub voters back him in a primary when there are lifelong Repubs for whom to vote. Any one of them would beat any Dem candidate in W VA

The Netherlands is taking steps to close the natgas fields in Groningen; Europe's largest. They expect it to be closed by the end of next year. Reason? The ground is such that the drilling has been causing a series of earthquakes, which are damaging property, and authorities are concerned that it wi...

None that I have seen. These two bonds seem to be an anomaly. However, if you go to stockmarketmba.com/listofpreferredstocks.php, you will find many preferreds (not generally energy) on the bargain counter. I particularly like the fixed-to-floating (ftf) for BDCs that are selling under par, yielding...

There were a couple of articles on energy in this week's Barrons. That will effectively end tanke...

I wonder about LPI's buyback announcement. They have so few shares outstanding that the buyback can only increase volatility. Secondly, they are buying high. I think giving a divvy would have been a better move, IMHO.
