Dan's Comment on BTE & OAS

Dan, I wanted to understand your recent comment (below) a little more clearly on OAS and BTE: "I do not see anything near-term that will move these stocks higher other than a spike in oil prices. BTE has a large stake in Canadian Heavy Oil plays and OAS is a pure play on the Williston Basin (Ba...

Re: erx

You can also look at UWTI and UGAZ, though the 'contango / decay' erodes value if the move you are planning doesn't happen reasonably quickly...

Re: BTE - Divi Gone

The price decrease from BMO reflects a continued 'opinion' of low oil prices, not anything to do with the fundamentals of the company...at least, that's what I took away from the report.

BTE - Divi Gone

VERY smart move. Company can withstand the downturn with vigor and emerge stronger (can't be said of many of its' peers). Maybe some short-term selling, but given the asset base and balance sheet, any further stock price decline (assuming one believes oil isn't going to hit and stay at $20 bucks) ha...

BTE - Stock Price

Dan, BTE has been hit pretty hard of late...I have looked over the fins and your analysis and do not see anything troubling. FFO basically covers the distribution and reduced capex at $50 oil, plus the company has $1B of liquidity...any hidden risks that you see? Is this another BCEI market over rea...

Re: BCEI Liquidity Question - For Dan

Sorry Dan, I figured it out...the revolver base was redetermined at $550mm, down from $600mm...

What are your thoughts of a further downward redetermination? Any idea when the next date would likely be?

BCEI Liquidity Question - For Dan

Dan, I am having a hard time reconciling BCEI's Q2 liquidity; hopefully you can help. Q1 Liquidity was $646MM; Q2 Liquidity was $498MM; NET CHANGE <$148MM> Q2 CapEx was $164MM and Cash Flow was about $55MM. Therefore - $646MM - $164MM + $55MM = $537MM. Why the discrepancy in Liquidity? Thanks a bunch.

Re: Bonanza Creek (BCEI)

Thanks Dan for the thorough analysis as always. BCEI has been hit much harder than most of the other issues; per the most recent numbers, it is the lowest valued stock on a CFPS basis in the Sweet 16... Any thoughts on why there has been such a dramatic distaste for this issue? Is having cash flow n...
