Re: memp
Correct about "recapture." I think younger people, who expect to hold their mlps for a long time, should become familiar with this dynamic. As an older investor, I expect to have the mlps in my portfolio when I go toes up, so recapture does not concern me. I don't know if I missed a discus...

Seems a little backward to me. True, K1s are a pain in the butt. If you use an accountant, as I do, you must invest enough $ in each to generate enough income from each to warrant the add'l cost of having the accountants mess with them. As to trading, why trade in a margin acct, and incur maximum ta...

Why did you add it to your ira? You lose the mlp tax benefits by doing so. I have owned it in my margin acct.

I would like your opinion on these two companies: US Oil Sands and American Sands Energy each have huge tracts of property in the Utah Oil Sands region. US is already permitted, American should be by the end of the year. Each has a proprietary process for processing the sand-to-oil. Each purports th...

Re: PROP
I saw them at the Marcum conf a couple of weeks ago. They seem to have potential, but their first "working" rig, if I recall correctly, isn't even in the field yet. They may have it in the field by 4th 1/4, and that would be for testing. Obviously, they have a way to go before they sell th...

Re: Building a Dividend Growth Machine
Per your request: Nadl is a deep water, rough conditions driller in whom sdrl has a big position. They just did a deal with sdrl's help where Rosneft, Russia's largest oil company became a nadl partner and shareholder. They will use nadl not only for deep rough water, but they are also expanding nad...

I owned both emes and hclp, but sold too soon. Even so, I made over 50% in each. Now I am in Victory Nickel, a two-fer. They have a good nickel property, but it is buried under frack sand. It is still a mostly undiscovered investment.

The video was terrific. I am a new member, and I see you follow sdrl. I am in sdrl, but I am also in nadl, awlcf and nfshf. Other members might be int'd in these as well; all high yielders. I believe sdrl, nadl, and nfshf are domiciled in Bermuda, so their yields do not have foreign tax taken out. P...

As a new subscriber I have been reading some of your older stuff. In April 2013 you talked about SARA. It had gone down, and you said it is a good buy at that price. It is now a year later, and it is still in the dumps. What is your current opinion? Thx.
