Re: ATPG
Patrick; Timing a market like this is tough. Oil's late day reversal is very encouraging to me. Let's see if it holds tomorrow. If $70/bbl holds that should be quite encouraging to the energy sector investors. They like to know where the floor is. As I posted earlier, the Fed's moritorium on offshor...

Re: atpg - Confused
David;
The moratorium on drilling should not slow ATPG's progress on completing the wells into the Telemark Hub. Those wells have already been drilled.

Re: political
Celtic; It is fine to post this stuff on the "Other Topics" forum. I agree 100% that the current Attorney General has turned into a problem for the Obama administration. We cannot allow that job to become political. Arizona (and Texas) have an obligation to protect their citizens, especial...

Currently I'm "Short term bearish and long-term bullish" on natural gas. In my opinion, "Green Energy" is a pipe dream. Think how long the U.S. has been trying to make wind and solar energy a meaningful part of our energy supply with little to show for it. NG is clean, abundant a...

Re: Ideas for High Yield Investors
par-putt; I would not recommend putting MLP's in an IRA as you will lose the primary tax benefits. Most of the distributions from an MLP are "return of capital" (which means they are non-taxable). Basically, you'd be putting a tax shelter into a tax shelter (your IRA) which is not a good i...

NG Supply is growing
From the Raymond James "Energy Stat of the Week" dated May 17, 2010 The evidence seems pretty clear to us. U.S. gas supply is growing way faster than the market realizes. Current consensus expectations for domestic gas supply growth this summer call for less than 1 Bcf/day of year-over-yea...

Update on BP Oil Spill
From the Houston Chronicle website Sunday, May 16 HAMMOND, La. — In a major step toward containing a massive Gulf of Mexico oil leak, BP said a mile-long tube was funneling crude Sunday from a blown well to a tanker ship after three days of wrestling to get the stopgap measure into place on the seaf...

setliff:
You raise a very good point, Gold and Oil usally more together. If gold trades at over $5,000/oz then we will be in a $300+/bbl oil price. We will be living in a world of very high inflation if that happens.
