Watch List Alert
American Oil & Gas (AEZ) is very high on my list of possible replacements for Arena Resources (ARD) in the Sweet-16. I hope to work on it next week but we are very busy these days with the new website and updating all my models. I urge you all to start your own due diligence on this one. http://...

FX Energy (FXEN) delivers solid 1st quarter
Sweet-16 member FXEN came through with a solid first quarter. I have updated my Net Income and Cash Flow Forecast which will be posted to our Home Page tomorrow. I want to listen to their conference call before I put the final stamp of approval on it. If they are still on track to complete two more ...

Re: TransGlobe Energy (TGA)
TGA is up over 100% year-to-date and I do believe it has more upside. However, I doubt it will double from here. TGA is our only pure play on oil. If oil prices go to $100/bbl, which I think is possible this year, that would take TGA much higher. Also, TGA will be driliing some high potential explor...

Re: Denbury Resources (DNR)
"Core Holdings" for me are the large-caps with solid Balance Sheets and steady production and reserve growth locked in. They all have a high "Safety Rating". The Sweet-16 Portfolio companies that fit that bill are: Arena Resources (ARD) > Soon to merge with Sandridge (SD) Denbury...

Arena Resources Update
Arena Resources (ARD) crushed my forecast for the first quarter by reporting EPS of $0.46, that is 10 cents above my forecast. ARD is debt free and heavily weighted to oil. SD is getting a good deal on this merger. ARD's "Fair Value" is being raised to $44/share. My detailed forecast model...

Re: Denbury Resources (DNR)
I just completed the Denbury forecast. Kim will post it on the Home Page tomorrow. Denbury will close on a $900 Million property sale by the end of May. The cash will pay off most of their bank debt. DNR is HEAVILY WEIGHTED to oil (which I love) and they will have a strong Balance Sheet after the as...

Denbury Resources (DNR)
Denbury deserves "Core Holding" status within the Sweet-16. It is always difficult to forecast results for a company while they are still within the transition period of a major merger but DNR looks solid. - Dan 2010 Outlook Denbury’s 2010 development and exploration budget (excluding acqu...

Lucas Energy (LEI)
I'm not recommending this one at all since I have not taken a good look at it in over a year. However, they have recently closed a deal on their Eagleford Shale leases (selling most of their deep rights) that allowe the company to pay off all of its bank debt. I consider this a one time event. Bill ...
