MLPs for HIGH Tax Deferred Yield

Our MLP Watch List was created after looking at over 60 energy sector publicly traded Master Limited Partnership. I believe the midstream MLPs, that provided gathering, processing facilities and pipelines, are in the "Sweet Spot". Their revenues are locked in by long-term contracts. They h...

GPOR

GPOR's 4th quarter results beat my forecast, primarily due to higher liquids production and a higher realized oil price. I will have an updated forecast for Gulfport Energy up on the website Saturday afternoon. The Utica Shale and their Canadian Oil Sands subsidiary will evolve into the major growth...

Re: WLL

Whiting Petroleum looks even better to me, now that I have seen their 4th quarter results. This one has a lot more upside than my Fair Value estimate . It they hit their own production guidance it could take off. It is also a PRIME TAKEOVER target. Whiting Petroleum (WLL): An updated Net Income and ...

Re: CLR

Continental acquired 6 cores of the entire Three Forks formation in 2011 and discovered they were up to 3 additional layers where benches of low bearing dolomite within the lower Three Forks formation. The significance of this discovery, and what makes us such a game changer, as Harold mentioned is,...

Re: CLR

From their CC; These wells and the expansion areas are as strong or stronger than typical wells in established areas where we've done much more drilling. So based on approximately the same 2012 drilling investment and expected well count, we plan to grow production as much as 40% this year . We're p...

CLR

From the CC it is clear they are very excited about the Cana Woodford play. I also think their projected 40% increase in production this year is on the low side of what they really think. From the CC: Continental clearly has world-class asset positions in the Bakken and Anadarko Woodford and we're d...

Re: Washington is clueless

Today coal, oil and natural gas provide about 87% of the energy consumed by the world everyday. Twenty years from now the "Big Three" will still provide 80% to 90% of the world's energy. Probably closer to 90%. That gang (we elected) in Washington knows this, however they still preach to t...

Vero Energy

You should all listen to the presentation that Doug Bartole, CEO made at our luncheon on Friday. It is now available on our home page. VRO looks like a solid shot at a double this year to me. It is debt free and almost a pure play on oil. Production is now over 2,000 BOPD and Doug said their target ...

Sweet 16 Update

The Sweet 16 Growth Portfolio is now up 19.8% YTD. CLR and TGA lead the pack, both up over 40%. CLR had a fantastic Q4 report DNR had a great 4th quarter. This one is almost a pure play on oil, selling 45% of production into the Gulf Coast market at near Brent oil prices. My updated forecast model i...

Re: TGA

My Fair Value estimate is $16 for TGA. It will be updated after I see Q4 results and their guidance for 2012. TGA should be producing over 20,000 bopd going into Q4.
