Re: Devon Energy (DVN) back to the Sweet 16 - Jan 2

Dan, what makes DVN a better Sweet 16 company than FANG at this moment?

Re: Seven Big Lies

Thanks Chuck! Speaking to a few of the lies, the average price of WTI from Jan 2011 to Sep 2014 was $96. In today's dollars that is $128. That means today's WTI of $74 is selling at a 42% discount to a nearly 4 year period in the past. I don't call that expensive by any stretch. If someone wants to ...

Re: Permian Resources (PR) Update - Dec 19

Dan, I'm not familiar with this kind of transaction, so I am wondering:

Is PR buying back some of these shares from these private investors?

Thanks

Re: Saudi may flood market

If you’ve read Simon Watkins latest book “The New Global Oil Market Order”, it seems to me that the Saudis are still stinging from their last two attempts to flood the market and kill off US producers. 2014-2016 was disastrous as our upstream folks figured out how to make significant reductions in t...

Re: Exxon buying PXD? ALERT ALERT

Re: Natural Gas Price Forecast by RBC - Sept 28

I'm happy to see steady progress in cutting down the storage surplus to the 5 year. Certainly when we look at current vs 5 year ago demand, things look better. However, I'm a bit concerned that our ongoing Higher Than Average continental US temps this summer which lead to the steady decline in surpl...

Re: EIA - Natural Gas Storage Report - Sept 7

BTW Dan I really appreciate you adding the Nat Gas Days of Supply chart from Bloomberg to the last podcast. It directly shows how growing demand impacts inventory.

Thanks

Re: EIA - Natural Gas Storage Report - Sept 7

I agree Chuck, the coming winter cannot be worse than the past one. On top of the fact that a huge portion of the current inventory surplus was due to Freeport being offline, not the weather itself. As for myself, my energy portfolio is 12% mineral royalties, 18% pipelines and 70% upstream. Of the u...
