Minerals/Royalties Companies Updates - Aug 29

Post by dan_s »

I have now updated all five of the forecast/valuation models for the minerals companies in our High Yield Income Portfolio.

Here are my current valuations with First Call's price targets in ( )
BSM = $20.00 ($20.00) < BSM is an MLP
MNRL = $40.00 ($35.88) < None of their production is hedged
KRP = $24.00 ($23.71) < Most heavily weighted to natural gas (~76% ngas and NGLs)
STR = $33.50 ($35.57) < Recently created by merger of Falcon Minerals and Desert Peak (a private company)
VNOM = $43.00 (37.57) < High safety rating because of their relationship with Diamondback Energy (FANG)

The updated forecasts can be downloaded from the EPG website. They are under the High Yield tab.

Is CRT beneath your notice? People on VF are saying it it way overbought and to sell it at 25.
But it hasn't gone up as dramatically as most of your picks.
I bought it more than a year ago, but such a small position I'm too greedy to sell,
and even if I wasn't up more than100%, I'd love to keep it for the rich dividend.
I have no wisdom when it comes to when to sell.

Incidentally, I have positions in all of those above, except for KRP, and don't own that because my stink bid is too low for our infrequent mini-crashes.
