Phillips 66 Allegedly Produced Renewable Diesel w/o Proper Permits in California
California regulators are alleging that Phillips 66 improperly produced renewable diesel at their Rodeo Refinery in the state. P66 began to bring in small volumes of soybean oil in 1Q21 to ramp their renewable fuel production, but they did not have the proper air permit, which allows the same kind of operations with petroleum feedstocks. The violation was brought forth by the Bay Area Air Quality Management District (BAAQMD).
