Shell mega merger with BG

What is this merger telling us?

I think we can assume that Shell has some very smart people that took a long hard look at BG before they made the deal. I think it screams to us the potential of the global LNG market.

It may also tell us that Shell does not have a lot of high potential oil projects to spend money on.
