The Roadrunner pipeline project (Oneok) in West Texas has completed its first phase and is set to begin delivering 170 mmcf/d of gas in to Mexico at a new border crossing that was completed in February. This project will expand to 640 mmcf/d by 2019 and support additional gas fired generation and industrial consumption in Central and Western Mexico.
Demand for natural gas is expected to increase by 2.0 to 2.5 Bcf per day this year. A large chunk of the increase is exports in the form of LNG or by pipeline to Mexico.
