April 1 is the last date you can join EPG for $250/year. We are going to launch a new website on April 2 and Premium Membership goes up to $350/year on that date. To join, go to our website (www.energyprospectus.com) and click on the Members tab.

Luncheons are FREE for our members and they are available via webcast for any members that cannot make it.

The next EPG luncheon at The HESS Club (5430 Westheimer) is set for March 31. Doors open at 11:00 for networking with the presentation at noon. EPG members need to register by sending an e-mail to Kim Tran at EnergyProspectus@gmail.com

Guests are alwasys welcome but they need to register on-line at the Home Page.

Joseph R. Dancy, Professor at the SMU Dedman School of Law, will be speaking at our luncheon on March 31. He will be discussing the global energy markets, primarily the “astonishing” impact that China’s oil demand growth is having on the oil markets. He will also comment on how the earthquake damage and the rebuilding efforts in Japan and the military strikes against Libya will be affecting the energy markets.

Joe is also the publisher of the LSGI Advisor Report, a monthly newsletter that I have found to be very accurate in forecasting near-term moves in both the energy markets and global food prices.

Over the last decade Joe Dancy has written articles in Barron’s, Fortune, The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg News, MSN Money, the Dick Davis Digest, Silicon Investor, the Dallas Morning News and a dozen other U.S. newspapers and magazines. He is a regular guest on Jim Puplava’s FSN broadcasts focusing on the energy sector and has discussed commodity market trends on BBC Radio Scotland.

He serve as an advisor to the Michigan Tech Applied Portfolio Management Program, overseeing finance students responsible for managing $1 million of the University’s endowment. Joe also instruct oil & gas and environmental law programs at Southern Methodist University School of Law in Dallas, Texas.

Following Joe will be the Chairman of FX Energy, an active driller in Poland’s Permian Basin. He will be discussing their recent drilling success and how the unrest in North Africa is affecting the European oil & gas markets.
