Hurricane Harvey - One Year Later

Post by dan_s »

This morning I received the note below from Tina Sansone, the wife of one of our Founding Members. Tina runs the "Friends of Vince" charity that helps poor families with children in Richmond, Texas. Richmond was hit hard by Hurricane Harvey. Many homes were totally destroyed and some were washed away completely. EPG Members donated over $10,000 to Tina's charity and 100% of that money went to help people in desperate need. Thank you so much. - Dan

Hi Dan,
Just thought I would send you some info and pictures about how we have used the funds that were so generously donated because of you and your members. I just wanted to thank you and them all again.

Even though it has been a year since Hurricane Harvey devastated so much of Houston, there are still so many families that are not back in their homes.

We would like to thank you all for your generous donations and to let you know that so many families were helped.

We were able to supply much needed food to the pantry set up in Jackson Elementary in Rosenberg. We purchased diapers, clothes, underware, socks and shoes for over 100 children. We also supplied a few special needs children with supplies that they lost in the flood. We were able to supply beds, mattresses, and linens for 8 children as they moved back into their homes.

Here are a few pictures to show what we have been doing with all the donations that we received to our "Harvey" fund.
