Japanese company Osaka Gas to acquire Texas-based Sabine Oil & Gas Corporation
Osaka Gas, a vertically integrated Japanese energy company, has entered into a definitive agreement with Houston-based Sabine Oil & Gas Holdings to acquire 100% of the outstanding shares of its subsidiary, Sabine Oil & Gas Corporation.
Should the deal close as expected, it would mark the first time in history that a Japanese company has purchased a U.S.-based shale gas developer.
