Positive comment from Tuder Pickering Holt June 10:

Peru Presidential election – Humala wins presidential elections with
51.5%. Humala's left-wing association with Chavez is a negative for energy
stocks…but lately he disavowed such relationships and discussed open dialogue on
natural resource royalties…but pre-election talk is cheap. Buying Gran Tierra
(GTE – $6.46 – B) on any overreaction as Peru value now completely taken out of
the stock with the equity trading at 2P NAV + Moqueta discovery ($6.60/sh).

GTE has no current production in Peru. Most of production in Columbia.

Tudor Pickering update on GTE mentioned on June 24th blog post - very positive stuff, this company should do well:

Market manipulation by IEA and politicians will be short lived, expect to see oil prices recover to the roughly $100 bbl level if history is any guide.
