Susan and I are leaving LA in a couple hours to head over to Las Vegas for a few days of R&R. We need to recover from The Steffens Family Christmas.
On 12/31 and 1/1 I will be making the final cuts for the 2012 version of the Sweet 16. OAS and RRC are being promoted for sure. They both have significant production growth locked in.
Our luncheon at The Hess Club in Houston on January 19 will be devoted to The Sweet 16. I will explain the reasoning behind all the changes and I will answer questions on each company. Evolution Petroleum is hosting and they will be making a presentation. I'm eager to hear about their new technology.
Gastar (GST) is hosting our luncheon on January 31st.
You can register for both luncheons by clicking on the Calendar Tab. Members and guests are asked to register. All luncheons are FREE for members and $30 for non-members that register on-line.

Re: Sweet 16 Update
An updated version of the Watch List has been added to the website. Just log on and click on the Watch List tab to see it. I have highlighted all the companies that deserve a promotion to the Sweet 16.
Actually I think all of the companies in the current Sweet 16 will do quite well if oil prices hold up, so it will be tough to select which ones to drop. Cimarex (XEC) and PetroBank are being dropped.

Dan Because you are dropping petrobank will you be in effect dropping petrobakken? thanks bob jacobson
Re: Sweet 16 Update
PetroBank and PetroBakken will be moving to the Watch List. I will update my forecast models for them each quarter.
Both are heavily weighted to oil and both have upside from here. I own both myself.
