Permit was previously issued but just was rescinded due to environment wacko groups asking the demented one to reject it
Bluewater Texas Terminal Operating Permit rescinded by the EPA for the Corpus Christi Offshore Oil Export Terminal Project
Bluewater Texas Terminal, Phillips 66 and Trafigura's joint venture, was denied a permit from the EPA to build an offshore oil export terminal project near Corpus Christi, Texas. The proposed facility would be capable of running at 384 Mbbl/d, and it would be the first large oil export facility off the coast of Texas.
The EPA is asking Bluewater to reduce its toxic air pollution by 95%, which equates to a reduction of 18,000 tonnes per annum. They have given Bluewater until September 15, 2022, to withdraw its application and begin to prepare a revised proposal. If they opt not to submit a revised proposal, the EPA will proceed with a final permit decision based on the current documents.
