Vero Energy (VREYF:$3.27,00$-0.12,00-3.54%) realized a net loss of $79.2 million or $1.62 per basic and diluted share in the three months ended December compared to a loss of $3.4 million or 7 cents per basic and diluted share a year earlier. It said the loss was principally attributable to impairments taken on the oil and gas assets as well as goodwill at the end of the year. Further loss was driven by write-downs associated primarily with the fair value of the natural gas assets sold.
