The Energy Workforce & Technology Council (EWTC) is excited to announce that Jerry Jones, Owner, President, and General Manager of the Dallas Cowboys and majority shareholder of Comstock Resources, will be honored with the 2025 Platinum Award, the highest recognition presented by the Energy Workforce & Technology Council. The award will be presented during the welcome reception, sponsored by Upright Digital.

Jones joins previously announced honoree Scott Sheffeild as a recipient of this year’s most prestigious award, which recognizes a lifetime of leadership, investment, and impact in the oil and gas industry.

A longtime leader in the energy sector, Jones has played a transformative role in the development of the Haynesville Shale, investing more than $1 billion into expanding Comstock Resources' natural gas operations across East Texas and North Louisiana.
