Update on Iran

Note below is from one of our members that knows a lot more about the Middle East than I do.

Despite all the talk that Iran still some enriched uranium that they can retrieve, I think it is beside the point. Mossad would know where that might be, and will know if Iran tries to retrieve it and tries to restart the effort to build a bomb, in which case they will destroy it again and permanently. I would not be surprised if they have already contacted the remaining nuclear scientists and told them to leave the country or die if they go back to work.

The whole point of the attacks on Iran and the US bombing was to make sure there is no chance Iran can continue to enrich and to try to build a bomb, and so there is no way now Israel and the US will let them even try again.

There are the stories that N Korea will give them a bomb. Maybe, but I doubt it. That would expose N Korea to counter actions. If that bomb is shipped it would get intercepted by Israel or the US, and such an action would then lead to major new crisis. I doubt Xi would let them do that.

Iran is now a political and economic mess that will only get worse overtime. They can sell oil, but they are mostly cut off from most of the world economically and otherwise. The people are very unhappy. When, if, and how a revolt might start is unknowable, but now Iran is pretty much isolated and an economic disaster.

Russia and China did nothing at all for them in their hour of need, and all the proxies are useless to them now. They can continue to kill and arrest large numbers of their people, but they will not likely find the Mossad agents who seem to permeate everything. One day there will be regime change.
