The thousands of jobs this huge construction job will create are important, but IMO this is a national security issue. This nation needs a secure supply of oil. Why not get as much as we can from Canada? The Canadian producers will spend a lot of that money on goods and services from the U.S.

Think trains. Think of all of the extra CO2 from trains for transport. Think Democratic congressional campaign contributions. It ain't happening! And oh yes - how many times did we hear "jobs are Priority 1"? Anyone believe that one?
