MLPs for High Yield

Post by dan_s »

We just updated our MLP Watch List, which you can download from our website to Excel. It is under the MLP Tab. You must log on to see the 9-15 version.

Our MLP Watch List has 8 upstream and 12 midstream companies that we believe are committed to and capable of increasing distributions to their unit holders. Based on the 9-15-2013 closing prices, the annual yield for the group is 6.9%.

Upstream MLPs offer high yield because they have more exposure to commodity price risk. We recently published profiles on BBEP (10.3% yield), VNR (8.7% yield), PAA (4.6% yield). The profiles on these and several others can be found under the Watch List Tab.

Many MLPs now pay monthly dividends.
