Buy this dip. Rodman & Renshaw downgrade GPOR to "Market Preform" today and GPOR's previously announced stock sale apparently crossed come desks today. No justification that I can see for today's profit taking.

R&R's explanation----------

MARKET TALK: Rodman & Renshaw Returns Positive On Gulfport 04/25 02:09 PM

3:09 (Dow Jones) Rodman & Renshaw backpedals Monday, boosting its rating on oil-and-gas company Gulfport (GPOR) to market outperform after having just lowered it to market perform only a few weeks ago. Firm says original downgrade was strictly on valuation, and since the stock's 10%-15% pullback it sees a buying opportunity. Also notes some near-term catalysts for GPOR that could provide a pop, including GPOR's goal to double acreage in the Utica Shale. Firm adds that this summer GPOR should give an updated resource assessment for GPOR's oil sands position based on this year's winter drilling, which could give an uptick. GPOR up 6.7% at $34.84. GPOR is soon going to announce test results from their "World Class" discovery in Thailand. This project could be HUGE for GPOR. Management believe it is a multi-TCF discovery. Natural gas sells for over $7/mcf in Thailand and the Asian market will get a boost from much higher LNG demand from Japan.

GPOR sells most of their oil into the Gulf Coast market where they are getting a $12/bbl to $15/bbl premium to WTI. They are going to report very strong 1st quarter results and more cash flow to accelerate their oil development projects.
