What Depth is "Deep Water" ~ SGY Amberjack

Is the SGY Amberjack platform in "deep water"?

I found info that said it was in just over 1000 ft of water.

As a fixed platform it is nothing like the BP Horion project.

"The Oxxxx administration’s plan to halt offshore drilling will exempt operations in waters less than 500 feet (152 meters) deep, U.S. Interior Secretary Ken Salazar said today. Drilling in the Gulf’s shallow waters is often for natural gas and tends to involve reservoirs with lower pressure, said Roger Read, an analyst at Natixis Bleichroeder in Houston. "

This a copy from a Yahoo post claimed as from Bloomberg. I suspect the poster edited the name of the administration.

If 500 feet is the limit - SGY Amberjack would seem to be impacted.
