Natural Gas Storage Report 1/4/2018

The EIA released its weekly Natural Gas Storage Report 1/4, outlining how national natural gas stocks have changed in the last week.
In total, the EIA reports natural gas stocks fell by 206 Bcf last week, dropping from 3,332 Bcf to 3,126 Bcf. This is 5.8% below the 3,318 Bcf that was in storage at this point last year, and is 5.8% below the five-year average of 3,318. This week’s storage draw compares with expectations, as analysts predicted a draw of 219 Bcf.
