As I am typing this, the January NYMEX contract for Henry Hub natural gas is trading for $4.64/MMBtu.

I now believe the Jan 2019 contract for HH gas will spike to over $5.00 before Christmas and it might even go up to $6.00.
WHY?????? Because the next three weeks are going to be much colder than normal in the eastern 2/3rds of the U.S. Tomorrow will be one of the coldest days on record in NYC.
Now: go watch the daily update at https://www.weatherbell.com/premium/

I have just posted an updated profile and forecast/valuation model for Goodrich Petroleum (GDP) to our website. My valuation is now $30/share. 60% of their gas is unhedged, so they are going to report a BIG SURGE in revenues for Q4 and Q1.

"As of 10:00 AM ET on November 21, the population-weighted nationwide temperature is 44.3°F which is 1.8°F colder than yesterday and 3.9°F colder than the historical average. Accumulated Natural Gas-Weighted Degree Days (GWDDs) through 10:00 AM EDT tally 17.4 GWDDs which is 2.6 GWDDs greater than yesterday through the same time and 1.5 GWDDs greater than average. This suggests an above-average contribution of temperature to natural gas demand."
