You have every right to be pissed. That was the worst "no call" on a obvious pass interference that I have ever seen. Everyone above the age of ten knows it.

I was a neutral watcher of the game, so my view is unbiased. I thought that there were several more no calls during the game, that if called would have given an advantage to the Saints. It is not the fault of the Rams that a bad ref changed the outcome.

I played football in high school and in college, so I know how hard the players and coaches work to get prepared for a season. It is a shame that what they worked for was taken away by a terrible ref. He should be banned from the league. Instead, they will probably fine Sean Payton for saying what everyone knows is true.

I am a Texans fan, so I know the pain of loosing a big game. The Texans do it on a regular basis.

ProFootballTalk’s Mike Florio pointed out that Rule 17, Section 2, Article 1 of the NFL rulebook allows commissioner Roger Goodell to take “corrective measures” if an event happens in a game that is so “extraordinarily unfair” that it impacts the result. Article 3 of the same rule allows Goodell to either reverse the outcome or replay the game from the point of the extraordinary event. That means that, in theory, Goodell could order the NFC Championship replayed from the point of Rams defender Nickell Robey-Coleman’s uncalled pass interference.

Besides the hazard of injury, football suufers the hazard of poor officiating. Teams just can’t count on squeakers because of this factor. It’s definitely a downer, but life is often disappointing. It’s a good metaphor for life. A reality sandwich, I guess... a time to man up, if you will.

In situations like this it might be a good palliative to re-hear Frank Sinatra’s, “That’s Life.”
