U.S. production that is reported each week by EIA is just the Department of Energy's best "guess". We don't get actual data (from the states) until two months after the end of the month. "Actual" production also changes for several months as upstream companies can and do submitted corrected reports. - Dan

U.S. oil output in April exceeds 12 million bpd to record monthly high: EIA . Reuters
U.S. crude oil output in April rose to a fresh monthly record, surpassing 12 million barrels per day, according to a government report on Friday. The United States produced 12.16 million bpd of crude in the month, up 246,000 bpd from a month earlier, the U.S. Energy Information Administration said in a monthly report.
Production in the largest producing state, Texas, was up 11,000 bpd at 4.97 million bpd in the month. Production in North Dakota and New Mexico declined slightly in the month. Production offshore in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico rose 77,000 bpd to 1.98 million bpd in April.
The agency also increased its estimate for March crude production by 11,000 bpd to 11.92 million bpd.

PS: U.S refining capacity is now 18.8 million barrels per day and our refineries are now at ~95% of capacity. The U.S. still needs to import about 7 million barrels per day of crude oil.

In last week's report EIA said U.S. oil production was 12.1 million barrels per day for the week ending June 21. At the current level of rigs drilling for oil (793) which is down 65 rigs from a year ago, I don't see how U.S. oil production can increase to 13.0 million barrels per day by year-end. At the end of December, 2018 EIA said U.S. production was approximately 11.7 million barrels per day, so production is up just 0.4 MMBOPD in six months. Additional pipeline capacity is being added in West Texas, which should help a bit.
