In my opinion, the Eagle Ford is not getting the "love" that it deserves.
1. Many of the companies in the EF get a premium to WTI for their oil because South Texas has more pipelines the access to the LLS market.
2. South Texas has ample midstream and transportation options.
3. Completed well costs are cheaper than most of the Permian Basin.
Other companies with Eagle Fore operations:
Carrizo Oil & Gas (CRZO) < Most of their production is from the EF, but most of their capex is now going to the Permian.
Matador Resources (MTDR)
Comstock Resources (CRK) < Only a small stake in the EF
Earthstone Energy (ESTE)
Lonestar Resources (LONE) < a pure play on the Eagle Ford
SM Energy (SM) < in the western third were wells are more "gassy"
Our July 17th luncheon in Dallas will be focuses on the Eagle Ford. Hosted by LONE.
