EiA - Weekly Natural Gas Storage Report - July 18

Hurricane Berry causes build below the 5-year average. Heat wave in NE quarter of U.S. is also increasing demand from gas fired power plants.

Working gas in storage was 2,533 Bcf as of Friday, July 12, 2019, according to EIA estimates.
This represents a net increase of 62 Bcf from the previous week.
Stocks were 291 Bcf higher than last year at this time and 143 Bcf below the five-year average of 2,676 Bcf.
At 2,533 Bcf, total working gas is within the five-year historical range.

Total U.S. storage capacity is ~4,300 Bcf and we need ~3,800 Bcf in storage to safely make it through a cold winter.
