Plains Exploration beats by $0.02, beats on revs (PXP) 37.65 : Reports Q2 (Jun) earnings of $0.54 per share, excluding non-recurring items, $0.02 better than the Capital IQ Consensus Estimate of $0.52; revenues rose 41.2% year/year to $514.8 mln vs the $477.4 mln consensus.
