Working gas in storage was 3,519 Bcf as of Friday, October 11, 2019, according to EIA estimates. This represents a net increase of 104 Bcf from the previous week.
Stocks were 494 Bcf higher than last year at this time and 14 Bcf above the five-year average of 3,505 Bcf.
At 3,519 Bcf, total working gas is within the five-year historical range.

There is five more weeks left in the refill season. We should see builds going lower from here as more and more furnaces kick in.

We need about 3,800 Bcf in storage to make it safely through a cold winter.

Total U.S. storage capacity is over 4,200 Bcf.
