COVID-19 Vaccine Update - Jan 28

Susan and I got our first dose of the Moderna vaccine today around noon. Fort Bend County now providing vaccines to anyone over 65 that wants it for FREE. Susan put our name on a waiting list Wednesday morning and we got a call three hours later that we could get it the next day.

We showed up at the Fort Bend County Clinic a few minutes early, walked in and no one was waiting. It took 15 minutes to fill out some paper work, ten seconds to get the shot, had to wait 15 minutes after the shot to make sure we didn't have a violent reaction and we felt fine. The whole process took 30 minutes and we have no reaction to the shot. I went to the gym for my regular workout and felt fine. We were told that people who have the O+ blood type don't have any reaction to the Moderna vaccine. We have to go back in four weeks for another dose, which is the same shot as the first one.

While we were there only four other people came in to get the vaccine.
