One of the problems with the Federal government

Both side are guilty of this. They think that they can pass a law or issue a Presidential Order and the impossible will magically happen.
From OilPrice.com: "Biden EV order faces questions. President Biden ordered the U.S. government to switchover its 645,000-vehicle fleet to EVs made with union labor and at least 50% American-made parts. But no such EV exists yet. Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) is not unionized and GM (NYSE: GM) uses three-quarters imported parts. The EV order may be possible to achieve over time, but will not happen overnight, experts say." BTW who are the "experts" anyway?
Another problem: They don't care what crap like this costs either. I guess until we run out of ink, cost doesn't matter. As a future retiree myself, I fear inflation may ruin my future plan.
