Energy Prospectus

We are seeing some interesting developments as a result of what is happening in Afghanistan. The entire region is under complete duress trying to handle the millions of refugees. In neighboring, Turkmenistan energy turf wars are already starting. As both countries are at the crossroads of oil & gas pipelines serving the region. Turkmenistan has large amounts of minerals, oil, and natural gas. Their pipelines run to China and Central Asia with more to India and Azerbaijan.

This will be a major geopolitical issue in the region and impact the world's natural gas markets. The Taliban now control an important pipeline running thru Central Afghanistan.
