Has the world come to grips with the Paris recommendation and others that a SIGNIFICANT reduction in total energy consumption requires a DRASTIC cut in energy use per person and per county. Has never happened over any 3 year period in world history.

While governments and international institutions pursuit a global energy transition, the need to reduce energy demand is largely being ignored

Reduced energy consumption = reduced standard of living.

Per the EIA's new report on energy supply increases needed by 2050, they say oil production needs to increase by 25% or 25 million barrels per day. I can't imagine where that more oil will come from. Except for the Permian Basin, the rest of the U.S. oil producing regions have peaked and will soon be on decline. The "cheap oil" has been harvested.

EIA also says natural gas production needs to increase by 30% from 2020 to 2050. That may be possible, but not cheap.

Unless billions of people are willing to accept lower standards of living, we must have an "All of the above" energy policy. This BS of demonizing all hydrocarbon based energy is total BS. We are also going to build more nuclear power plants. We must elect much smarter leaders than we have in Washington than we today.
