Any news affecting Riley's pullback today?

I have the same question. Volume today is about 5 times normal so there must be a large holder taking profits. A lot of energy stocks are being sold today but are only down a couple of % versus Riley down about 18%

Riley has been trading like a meme stock
The tremulous short term rise made no sense

I think there was a news item that some insiders sold. Makes sense for them to take some profits at these levels, but I would consider this a buying opportunity.

The small-caps are all "high beta" stocks. They have very low share counts, so one committed seller can trigger a stop loss selloff. My opinion for Riley has not changed.
Overall market weakness can cause some people to sell everything.
