As I have posted here many times, the Wall Street Gang never did their homework on Comstock Resources (CRK), which is why you pay me the Big Bucks to do it for you. For years after Jerry Jones took control of Comstock, the Wall Street Gang kept saying that the Company had a debt problem. IMO they never did and with the owner of the Dallas Cowboys as the majority of the equity, every banker in the city wanted to lend them money. Even with the crappy ngas prices in 2020, Comstock generated $490 million of operating cash flow, net of interest payments on their debt.
Today, Comstock's balance sheet is in GREAT SHAPE. They have NO near-term debt problems and they are on pace to generate $1.8 billion of operating cash flow and over $750 million of free cash flow from operations this year.
They are working on the ability to sell gas directly to the LNG exporters, which should generate much higher realized gas price than what I am using in my model.
My valuation is NOW $37.00.
