It is my opinion that the Climate Change Wackos, the Paris Climate Accord and the Green New Deal will go down in history as the dumbest things humans have concocted. What's happening now in Europe (that will get much worse this winter) is clearly telling us to reverse course on our energy policy, but instead we are going to invest hundreds of $billion more attempting to control the Earth's climate. God controls the Earth's Climate!

Here is the Good News: The Earth's weather system is self-correcting and getting cooler. Sea ice is growing and La Nina has cooled the Pacific ocean.

More proof that The Paris Climate Accord gave Putin control over Germany's power grid.

MOSCOW (AP) — A key Russian natural gas pipeline will shut down for three days of maintenance at the end of this month, the state-owned energy company Gazprom announced Friday, raising economic pressure on Germany and other European countries that depend on the fuel to power industry, generate electricity and heat homes.

The latest shutdown will come a month after Gazprom restored natural gas supply through the pipeline to only a fifth of its capacity after a previous shutoff for maintenance.

Russia has blamed the reductions through the pipeline on technical problems but Germany has called the shutoffs a political move by the Kremlin to sow uncertainty and push up prices amid the conflict in Ukraine.

Natural gas prices rose on Friday after the announcement, and are now more than twice as high as a year ago.

In a statement posted online, Gazprom said the planned shutdown from Aug. 31 to Sept. 2 is for “routine maintenance” at a key compressor station along the Nord Stream 1 pipeline, which links western Russia and Germany.

Makes you wonder whether the Freeport LNG terminal will reopen for business. Certainly their are big energy implications for both the US and Europe. And of course politics will be the deciding issue. Will Biden continue the shutdown so as to make more gas available here in America prior to a pivotal mid term election with Democrat/Biden approval tanking ? Will Biden's overlord's at the WEF push him to get that LNG to a continent that is so butthurt for fuel that they will otherwise have to burn down Bavaria?

Even though the U.S. will begin the winter with ngas storage 300-400 Bcf below the 5-year average, we are in much better shape than Europe. We will make it through a normal winter. If we have a much colder than normal winter we may see regional rationing, but it should not impact the power grid. So, people s/b able to survive with electric space heaters. However, we will see extremely high natural gas prices.

If ngas storage goes way below the 5-year average in January, we may see industrial user cut off first. That has happened before in the Northeast.

Freeport LNG needs to get back online ASAP, so we can send more gas to Europe. If we don't keep the supply of LNG going to Europe, there will be a lot of weather-related death. Kind of ironic that the deaths will be from cold and not the Global Warming we have been promised.

The latest sign lawmakers in Europe's industrial heartland are preparing for what could be a disastrous winter of reduced natural gas supplies from Russia and record high electricity prices is a new proposal to prioritize Germany's rail network for coal shipments over passenger services, according to Bloomberg, citing local newspaper Welt am Sonntag.

Even though Germany has promised to eliminate coal-fired power generation in the coming years, the historic energy crisis has made it more dependent on coal than ever as Russian flows of NatGas slump ahead of winter.

The Swiss government is preparing rapidly for the possibility of power shortages this winter with Jan Flückiger, Secretary General of the Energy Directors' Conference, warning that "internal security then becomes a problem," arguing that the federal government has not yet recognized the urgency in this regard.

In an interview with Swiss German-language daily newspaper Blick, Fredy Fässler, the Police Chief of one of Switzerland's largest Cantons, warned that people may revolt and resort to looting if the Alpine nation is hit by a severe energy crunch this winter.

“Imagine, you can no longer withdraw money at the ATM, you can no longer pay with the card in the store or refuel your tank at the gas station. Heating stops working. It’s cold. Streets go dark. It is conceivable that the population would rebel or that there would be looting,” he said, adding that the country’s authorities should take measures to prepare for such extreme scenarios.
