What in the world is going on with natural gas prices as closed below $5 yesterday and the country is in the middle of an "Ice Age"?

this ice age is going to last for all of 72 hours then warm back up. supplies are ample for the time being, and Freeport LNG just announced today that startup delayed till 2H January

Well freeze offs will reduce oil and gas production. Low temperatures have more impact on natural gas wells than on oil wells.

U.S. oil production peaks each year in November and declines each year December thru March. Associated gas in the Williston Basin, DJ Basin, Oklahoma and Texsa likely impacted by the winter storm.
