Biden's LNG Export Facility "pause"

Post by dan_s »

I talked to the guys over at AEGIS and they told me that the LNG export facilities expected to come online 2024 to 2026 (10-16 Bcf per day) are not expected to be impacted by Biden's (clearly politically motived) "pause" on approvals. This feeble attempt to keep the Climate Change Wacko vote will not keep Biden from getting beaten by Trump.

BTW what this does for Europe is force more coal fired power plants to remain online. One coal fired power plant puts 5X to 10X more CO2 into the atmosphere than a natural gas fired power plant.

We really do have idiots in this administration.

2-7-2024: (Bloomberg) -- The chief executive officer of the country’s largest producer of natural gas (EQT) dismissed the Biden administration’s move to freeze new liquefied natural gas exports as a political stunt, telling House lawmakers during a hearing Tuesday that the decision was designed to secure support at the ballot box.
