EIA Natural Gas Storage Report - Feb 15

Post by dan_s »

Working gas in storage was 2,535 Bcf as of Friday, February 9, 2024, according to EIA estimates.
This represents a net decrease of 49 Bcf from the previous week.
Stocks were 255 Bcf higher than last year at this time and 348 Bcf above the five-year average of 2,187 Bcf.
At 2,535 Bcf, total working gas is above the five-year historical range.

OUCH: Without a Polar Vortex, end of winter heating season storage level will likely be near 2,000 Bcf. 5-Year average is 1,650 Bcf.

The big "Gassers" really need to hunker down and slow down well completions.

Looks like the only hope for ngas prices is if winter weather extends into April.
