Micheal Burry (of "Big Short" fame), manager of Scion Management Fund, owned 97,000 shares of VITAL ENERGY in the Permian Basin at the end of
2023 according to the 13F filing. At year-end the shares were valued at about $45. 4.2% of the fund was invested in Vital.

Vital Energy is now $57 per share, PE 1.7x, and due to its low share count is a HIgh Beta share for volatility. In June, 2022 when oil peaked, Vital
was $122 per share. Since then, Vital has made acquisitions in Deleware and MIdland Basins of the Permian. Vital Energy may be the lowest valued
Permian Basin oil producer.

Perhaps the second lowest valued may be Apache Petroleum. Price $35, PE 3.8, yield 2.9% which Morningstar Research featured on a short list of
five "Top Value Stocks" in the month of February when APA was trading at about $30. It is now $35. Morningstar believes APA has potential to double in price from $30. APA has completed its acquisition of Deleware producer Callon Petroleum which is expected to double their oil production and
they are also joint venturing with Total Energy to produce oil offshore Surinam in South America for long-term growth potential.
