When corporations pay less income taxes, they hire more people and pay them more. The economy grows and the tax base expands. Corporations pay more sales taxes and property taxes, which helps the states. They pay more social security taxes which is good for those of us nearing retirement.

Dan, great post and true. However, corporations don't pay taxes. They collect taxes. I had a cousin who told me he didn't buy a house because he didn't want to pay property tax. I owned a rental property and asked him, "Do you think your landlord is an idiot?" He replied, "No, why would you say that?" I replied, "Craig, my renter pays the property tax, insurance and other expense I can add to his rental bill." Craig bought a house right after this conversation.

Only Bernie Sanders, Kamala Harris and few other economic ignoramuses believe that corporations pay taxes. All of the costs are passed on to products and services we purchase. Raising the costs for those who can least afford it. But the propaganda works for low information voters who like to engage in class warfare.
